E Energy Reviews

E currently scores an average of 4.7 out of 5 on Trust Pilot. It's fair to say they have some really strong, positive reviews.

However it is disappointing to see that they do not reply to reviews both good and bad.

Who owns E?

E, officially E Energy Ltd, is owned by Paul Cooke, registered in the UK. If you think this name sounds familiar, that is because he has been involved in some controversial news stories over the years including being arrested for streaking at the Cheltenham Festival in 2016!

What is E's fuel mix?

The electricity supplied by E is generated from a variety of primary fuels, including natural gas, coal, nuclear, and renewable sources. Like all energy suppliers, E purchases electricity from energy generators who produce it using these fuels. The proportion of each fuel used by the generators determines E's fuel mix.

For the period April 2023 to March 2024, here is E's fuel mix compared to the UK average:

Fuel Electricity supplied by E Average for GB
Coal 14.7% 3.4%
Natural Gas 67.9% 39.3%
Nuclear 10.6% 13.9%
Renewable 0.2% 40.8%
Other 6.6% 2.6%
Total 100% 100%
CO2 emissions (g/kWh)  466 199
